Rapidly growing company seeking experienced, highly motivated and proactive Business Services Officer with strong background in business management.

The company new Chapters, New Beginnings, is an organisation that provides support to people with disabilities in Darwin and Tennant Creek. We help people with congenital disabilities, as well as acquired disabilities, to lead an active and social life, whilst remaining as safe and independent as possible. We have recognised the demand for care when it comes to under-represented social and cultural groups in Australia. We intend to respond to this demand in a caring, nurturing, and supportive way so no Australian will feel as though they don't have the help, they need in order to live their life to the fullest.

The role the purpose of this role is to assist management with the operations of our business, which involves making important policy and strategic decisions, overseeing the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures and ensuring the Company is legislatively compliant.

Your main tasks will be assisting with business management goals and objectives. Implementing business plans and strategies to promote the attainment of goals. Ensuring that the company has the adequate and suitable resources to complete its activities. Overseeing necessary legalities of running a business. Assisting with purchasing, leases and other financial endeavors.

Where necessary, assisting the payroll team with any duties. Assisting where necessary with Company budgets. Assisting the various audits, the Company must undertake. Prepare and edit a range of written material on behalf of the business. Fulfil other duties as required by the Managing Director. Experience in HR Services.

The successful applicant will have the ability to prioritise competing demands and manage your time effectively. Ability to work autonomously and use initiative. Able to cope within a fast-paced growing company. Available to start ASAP. Current Driver’s License. Current OCHRE Card. Current Police Clearance check. Have unrestricted working rights in Australia.

Skills and experience strong communication skills and attention to detail. Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite. Previous experience working in administration desirable. Certificate 3 in Business Management desirable.

Demonstrated computer literacy including the suite of office programs. Ability to prove highly developed written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to handle multi tasks and competing interests. Action orientated and takes accountability to achieve results in line with set timeframes.

Ability to Build and maintain sustainable internal and external relationships. Demonstrated courage in leadership to confront issues and risks, and escalates as appropriate, in accordance with procedure. Shown effective communications and active listening skills, demonstrating the ability to present information, decision, and reasons confidently, clearly, and concisely, selecting the appropriate medium. Proven understanding of business legalities and obligations.
