Australian Native Products (ANP) was founded in 1998 as a niche Lemon Myrtle producer on the Far North Coast of New South Wales, with customers located in the local region, interstate and overseas. Due to significant investment over recent years, we have grown to become the world’s largest producer of Lemon Myrtle, by diversifying across other product categories and geographies both locally and internationally and establishing a global customer base.

Role overview we are looking for a genuine hunter who is passionate about exploring new sales opportunities, engaging new customers and opening new markets. Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager you will become an expert in Australian Native Products and our production capabilities, technologies and R&D expertise, using this knowledge and your exceptional skills at winning others over to boost top-line revenue growth, customer acquisition and profitability.

To be successful in this role, you should have proven experience developing leads, building a pipeline and meeting sales targets. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with customers and represent the company at trade shows and in leading bespoke customer presentations. This is a full-time position based at our office in Sydney Metro, with travel occasionally required within Australia, Europe, America and Asia.

Key responsibilities sell Lemon Myrtle tea and oil products to new markets and new customers. Research potential target customer and actively engage them through cold calls. Qualify leads from marketing campaigns as sales opportunities and record in CRM. Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services. Deliver effective sales pitches, provide quotes and build a pipeline of future business.

Understand the attributes of our products, the production process and Unique Selling Proposition. Develop a strong understanding of market trends, distribution channels and buyer behaviour (B2B). Update the leadership team on emerging channels and market and customer needs. Coordinate with sales, operations and finance team to understand demand vs supply.

Required skills and experience proven track record in sales with a strong understanding of sales performance metrics. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills, with the ability to form strong relationships. Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to explore customer needs, present useful solutions and negotiate effectively. Independent operator, capable of planning and executing sales activities with minimal support.

Highly motivated and driven to succeed, capable of managing detail and delivering results. Experience with CRM software (e.g. Insightly) and MS Excel (analysing spreadsheets and charts). Bachelor degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field (desirable). Experience in the flavour & fragrance industry preferred but not essential.
