Specification Business Development Manager Tongue n Groove location Sydney, CBD, Inner West & Eastern Suburbs. Tongue n Groove is an Australian-owned company, specialising in solid engineered European oak flooring for high-end residential and commercial design projects. About the role we are looking for a Specification BDM to join our team in a collaborative role that works in partnership with a Project BDM. This role will be based in our award-winning showroom in Waterloo.  The Specification BDM is responsible for securing specifications and generating the pipeline of opportunities for their partner Project BDM to then close out and manage. The primary focus will be on servicing architecture and design (A&D) clients by providing in-depth product presentations and material consults. This role requires a highly proactive and consultative focus. Ultimately, you will be empowered to design your day to achieve the best results. You should be comfortable with change and able to adapt to a broad range of clients and project stakeholders. Key responsibilities establish and build strong relationships with a&d communities that align with the strategic positioning of the company, identify and engage with new a&d groups across multiple categories of residential, boutique multi-residential, workplace, hospitality, aged care and education, provide introductory product presentations, technical presentations, material consults, sample reviews and cpd programmes to a&d clients, respond to a&d client product inquiries promptly and provide some quoting for costing purposes, provide and develop new presentations and presentation updates with sales and marketing management, ensure all a&d clients in managed portfolio always have an up-to-date sample kit and maintain a quarterly sample refresh cycle with clients, encourage a&d clients and their clients to visit our showrooms and provide support and consultation during these visits, regularly create and attend industry networking events and opportunities with a&d portfolio of clients, track completed projects and prepare handover briefing and introduction for marketing manager, work with team partner to respond to product issues on site, utilise the company crm to track activity and opportunities in order to plan growth strategies and identify areas for improvement, achieve sales and behavioural kpi's and ultimately exceed sales targets. Skills and experience 2-3+ years proven architectural specification experience is essential, client exposure across high-end residential, commercial, retail and hospitality in both a&d and builder segments is highly desirable, should have an entrepreneurial approach to business development - an out-of-the-box thinker, driven, dynamic, ambitious, and energised personality, strong portfolio of completed projects over the past 18 months, team-oriented and collaborative, well-presented and an excellent communicator.
