Your responsibilities as a key member of the Svitzer Australia and Global Commercial teams, reporting to the Regional Chief Commercial Officer, you will lead the tender process, manage towage and berth licence applications, develop customer value propositions, including strategy, solution development, pricing of services, proposal submission and internal approvals.
Growth strategy Study market with its competitive environment, opportunities landscape; understand Svitzer's footprint, capabilities and competitive advantages to develop a regional growth roadmap allowing to expand our core business and enter new types of businesses.
Pipeline Management Create and maintain an overview covering both short- and long-term opportunities. Work with Commercial, Operations and Finance teams to qualify and prioritise opportunities ensuring we are focusing on the most strategically and financially attractive options.
Opportunity Management Liaise with external and internal stakeholders to capture and develop attractive opportunities in the marine services industry, progressing through stages of maturity in close collaboration with our regional and global teams.
Tender management Ensure development of accurate and comprehensive business cases and investment memos to deliver winning proposals on time and as per defined strategy through collaborative approach, project management, and utilisation of proprietary tools, process steps and materials.
Solutions development Facilitate development of unique value propositions rooted in customers' needs, pain points and key requirements. Business Development Process Facilitate collaboration and take lead on ensuring best practice sharing across teams, functions, and regions. Drive continuous improvement in the Business Development strategy, process, and framework.
Voice of Customer Partner and coach leadership and local port management teams in fostering excellent customer and stakeholder relations. Compliance Champion Uphold governance, trade practice and competition compliance requirements.

Industry Experience you are well versed in the maritime and resource & energy industries and have a solid foundation of relationships and expertise, allowing you to hit the ground running. Business Development toolbox You have the experience (more than 5 years) and toolbox to deliver best-in-class business development and tender management results. You have proven track record of developing new business models, including setting up joint ventures, subcontracting, profit sharing, etc.
Project Oriented Strong project management skills enabling you to lead and structure complex growth projects. Financial Acumen & Analytical Skills you possess in-depth financial knowledge and are comfortable with producing investment appraisal models, business case memos and strategy recommendations to senior management.
Hands-On you will play a key role in cross-functional and cross-border teams where you need to be able to effectively work across geographies and hierarchies and deliver both as an individual contributor, indirect leader of others and an efficient team player.

You hold a relevant Bachelor or Master's Degree, possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and have the flexibility to travel interstate and to regional ports and operations.
