We’re looking to recruit a Business Development Manager who will drive engagement from the corporate sector to participate and raise funds for Oxfam Trailwalker.  You’ll not only have great people skills and energetic personality, you’ll also know the best way to generate leads, be comfortable picking up the phone to prospective partners and promoting Oxfam Trailwalker and presenting in person when needed.

Working hand-in-hand with our account and digital teams, and closely with the Directors and Account Directors, you’ll help recruit new and retain existing corporate partners and excite employees to sign up to Trailwalker’s across Australia and fundraise to meet set goals.

Key responsibilities include develop and implement the corporate partnership strategies to acquire workplace partnership participants to increase the corporate participation base. Identify and develop all partnership promotional materials required. Develop and maintain regular reporting metrics to measure performance and effectiveness of sales activities. Create systems to record all interactions with corporate partners (existing or prospect) as a sales CRM. Engage with prospects and promote Oxfam Trailwalker as a positive corporate employment opportunity. Work with the corporate partner to promote internally to acquire participants and engage with employees as needed.

Provide the best possible customer-centric relationship management of corporate partner event participants, supporters and donors and ensure that all interactions with supporters are conducted in a positive manner, accurately reflecting the client’s values and vision. Initiate and be actively involved in continuous improvement initiatives. Participate in meetings, workshops and strategic sessions when required. Seek learning opportunities to develop and maintain own professional development. Work to beat performance targets.

Key skills required 4 + years sales/business development experience. Demonstrated ability to increase a client base in a direct sales environment. Experience with the creation and implementation of a business development strategy. Ability to build and create meaningful relationships with clients. Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills, both written and verbal. Solution and results orientated working to and beating targets. Proven success engaging and managing relationships with a wide and diverse set of stakeholders.
