PR Australia (Pramac/Generac) is a subsidiary of a leading global manufacturer of power generation with a long history of providing premium products. As AUSPAC representative of the Generac Group of companies, the third largest power generation company in the world, we import and wholesale the widest range of power products in the marketplace, including portable, residential, commercial and industrial generators, (petrol, diesel and gas generators) as well as a wide range of lighting towers made in our factories around the world.

We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic, customer focused and highly motivated Sales Engineer to join our Australian team, supporting some regional opportunities via our Dealer/wholesale channels.

 

Reporting to the Australian/New Zealand Sales Director, you will be responsible for achieving a sales budget for our Industrial Gas Solutions, by developing and providing our services to a wide variety of dealers throughout AUSPAC.

You may be from the power generation industry with experience in gas-powered engines, power generation and or related engineered solutions. This position plays a pivotal role in managing and maintaining the existing client base, whilst pursuing growth and new business development in accordance with the regional sales, marketing and account management objectives. We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated person with good planning, organizational skills and self-discipline.

The key responsibilities are as follows develop business relationships and increase sales revenue throughout our dealer network, manage client relationship through all phases of the sales cycle i.e. end to end sales responsibilities from receiving or generating inquiries, customer visits, understanding technical applications, solution selling, and submitting quotes and tenders, identify and develop new business within the AUSPAC region via prospecting, qualifying, selling and closing deals, technical understanding with the ability to recommend and specify power generation solutions.

Qualify and develop new dealers and distribution partners, development and execution of a regional sales plan to ensure short and long-term objectives for sales, profit and market position are achieved, providing accurate and timely feedback on market conditions, customer and project developments using the tools provided, providing accurate and timely reports as required, regular travel throughout region is required to ensure sales support and development of the region, monitor relevant standards and other industry developments.

The successful candidate will possess the following technical capability with gas powered engines - must be essential, demonstrated experience in a business to business sales position i.e, proven business development experience and sales results, experience working within the power generation industry or an industrial services environment, tertiary qualifications related to engineered solutions advantageous, the ability to work autonomously on sites is essential i.e. field experience required, effective communication skills, effective decision making and problem-solving skills, technical report writing skills, a high level of proficiency in MS Office suite, valid Australian driver licence.
