Description

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our Energy & Utilities division on a 12-month contract.

This role is central to identifying and delivering improvements across our operational support functions. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across multiple business areas to analyse processes, define opportunities for optimisation, and contribute to scalable, data-driven solutions.

You’ll also lead your own workstream owning deliverables from start to finish as you support Downer’s ongoing commitment to smarter, standardised ways of working that empower teams and improve performance.

What You’ll Do

Analyse and map existing business processes to identify improvement opportunities.
Gather, document, and validate business requirements across multiple functions.
Lead the delivery of your assigned workstream, managing tasks, milestones, and deliverables.
Translate business needs into technical specifications and collaborate with internal teams to deliver solutions.
Support solution testing, implementation, and user adoption, while tracking benefits and performance.

What We’re Looking For

We’re after a driven and analytical professional who’s passionate about process improvement and stakeholder engagement.

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst in complex environments.
Strong knowledge of business support functions, especially within Finance, Commercial and Risk.
Proficiency in business analysis tools and process mapping (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Power BI).
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to lead and manage your own workstream with minimal supervision.
