We are seeking a dynamic and driven individual to join our team as a Banking Associate specialising in business loans. As part of the lending team you will play a crucial part in supporting our lending operations, focusing on the diverse needs of our business clients. This newly created role will ensure that Tyro is providing a superior service to all our existing customers.
What You'll Do
Engage our customers via various proactive outbound calling to assist with banking enquiries and lending eligibility. Raising aware of Tyro’s banking solutions in every interaction.
Assist with Banking enquiries and advise on process with clients interested in banking, accounts, and lending.
Cross-sell and refer EFTPOS opportunities to the sales & account management team.
Build strong relationships with business clients, creating advocates and helping repeat borrowers.
Working closely with risk and product to ensure we meet our customer’s needs.
Collection of financials for manual assessment.
Assist in the vetting of applicants, conducting preliminary reviews of financial documents and credit history
Perform basic credit analyses to evaluate credit worthiness of business loan applicants prior to risk submission for manual assessment.
Monitor the quality of funded loans, including the rate of defaults to maintain a healthy loan portfolio.
Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions and competitor offers.
Providing customer and business insights back to internal stakeholders.
Ad hoc duties to assist with customer enquiries, initiatives, projects, campaigns and work as prescribed by your manager.

Sharp attention to detail with strong follow-through and time management
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to build trusted relationships with customers and internal teams
Analytical and problem-solving mindset; always looking for process improvements
Initiative and ownership in a fast-moving, energetic environment
Nice to have: telesales experience; bachelor’s degree in finance/business; understanding of financial statements and credit analysis
