Assurance Services Team Leader Starfish Consulting location Wellington.

We are looking for a people leader to lead the Assurance Services team in the BRANZ Consultancy Services business. As a true people leader, you will have the capacity to influence and inspire, promoting a culture that supports client centricity and continuous service improvement. In this role, you must display exemplary people leadership skills and a proven track record managing a diverse team of technical professionals.

You must be genuine, passionate and have experience working in a consultancy service environment. A background in the building sector is not required, however, leading technically focused teams involved in service provision would add value. It essential that you have the natural ability to successfully engage with a wide variety of people, and the ability to demonstrate exceptional internal and external stakeholder management skills.

This role is based within a mature strategy delivery environment, therefore you will need to be able to translate an understanding of the objectives of your team into the financial and performance reporting that supports us in the delivery of our broader objectives.

We will rely on you to be commercially savvy and bring experience in operationalising service offerings, as well as having a strong understanding of financial reporting, budgets and reporting.   The key services delivered by the team are BRANZ Appraisal and CodeMark certificates.

We are looking for the following experience track record successful leading technical professionals. Track record of identify and evaluating commercial legal, and reputational risk in an assurance services environment. Effective leadership that reflects genuine collaboration. Exceptional stakeholder management skills. Strong commercial acumen. Outstanding written and verbal skills. Excellent attention to detail.

Ideally, you will bring experience and understanding of the building industry, however this is not essential – what is paramount is your people leadership, stakeholder management skills and that you have experience that enables you to be commercially savvy.
