Associate Professor or Professor Holmesglen Institute location Melbourne.

The opportunity Salary $160,000 per annum pro rata + 11.5% super + leave loading. Time Fraction Full Time, 1.0 EFT. Location Base campus – Moorabbin, travel to other campuses is required.

WWCC Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining and maintaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check. Police Check Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Police Check. Position Status Ongoing contract of appointment with a 6-month qualifying period.

Holmesglen Institute, in partnership with Healthscope, is seeking a Clinical Chair to lead and develop a sustainable nursing research program while promoting educational excellence. In this conjoint role, you will provide academic leadership, develop research strategies, and foster a culture of scholarly inquiry within both institutions.

This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of nursing education, research, and clinical practice through innovative approaches and cutting-edge simulation-based education.

Key responsibilities lead the development and implementation of nursing research programs at Holmesglen and Healthscope. Drive educational innovation, including the integration of simulation-based learning. Oversee the use of simulation facilities, supporting both educational and operational excellence.

Develop and maintain strong research partnerships nationally and internationally. Secure external research funding, mentor early career researchers, lead curriculum development and foster academic excellence in the faculty. Engage with key stakeholders to translate research into clinical practice improvements.

About you strong leadership skills with extensive experience in the health and education sectors. Skilled in curriculum development and passionate about driving innovation in education, particularly through simulation-based methodologies. PhD or equivalent in a relevant area, along with a nursing degree.

Excellent communicator with the ability to build effective partnerships with industry, academia, and clinical teams. Highly organised, with strong strategic planning abilities and the capacity to lead complex initiatives.
