MMJ Canberra is currently seeking an enthusiastic trainee property manager to join our team of Asset Management professionals. Experience in a commercial property environment, or an experienced residential property manager or an experienced administrator in a similar field will be highly regarded.

We are a locally owned boutique commercial real estate business that prides itself in its discrete quality service to our varied clientele. Our services to the commercial property industry include Asset Management, Strata Management, Valuation & Consultancy, Sales and Leasing. The focus of MMJ Canberra is on the local market. We do not try to service everyone, but we do provide quality, timely assistance to our loyal clients.

As a Junior Property Manager for the Asset Management team your daily activities will be varied as well as challenging. This position allows you to gain a valuable understanding of Commercial Asset Management and expand your horizons to become a leading professional in the commercial property industry. The successful applicant will be a self-motivated,   unflappable administration professional who, in a team environment assist with the smooth running of our Asset Management Division.

Primary duties include processing accounts, distribution of invoices, rent receipting, creditor payments, monthly reports, bank account reconciliations. Assist in the maintenance of our Property Management Trust Account/s.

Help desk management, liaising with tenants, logging work orders with contractors, following up on maintenance issues and reporting. Other miscellaneous administrative tasks, maintain filing systems and various compliance registers to ensure we meet legislative requirements.

The successful applicant will also be confident and be able to build & maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of clients and tradespersons. Experience in a similar administrative position, in accounts payable/receivable, business management or service coordination will be highly regarded. A working knowledge of Cirrus8 would be advantageous but not essential.

The successful applicant must have a professional presentation and a high level of communication skills. Effective time management. Enthusiasm, dedication and a willingness to succeed. A working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel. Work well with and fit into our small team. An ability to prioritise/juggle your workload and accuracy and attention to detail.
