Support the Human Resources (HR) team with administrative tasks, updating HR systems and responding to HR-related queries
Hybrid Working Arrangement (working from office and home) will be considered when fully trained

About the role
We are seeking applications for an Assistant HR Officer position, to join our Shared Services Team. Although this is a casual position, we need somone who is able to initially commit to work on a fulltime basis from Monday to Friday, to support current business needs.
If successful, your will support the team with a variety of HR related administrative duties. This includes (but is not limited to): processing police checks, VEVO checks and employment background checks; supporting recruitment activities; supporting employee events and training sessions; monitoring the HR Mailbox and responding to emails and queries received; preparing and sending contracts and onboarding paperwork to employees and new starters; updating and data entry into HR Systems, and assisting with maintaining HR policies, processes and relevant documents. We will provide a highly supportive environment with plenty of variety of tasks, in which you can expand your knowledge and skills. We are happy to consider applications from recent graduates of HR Diploma or Degree courses, or from candidates with overseas HR experience looking to obtain local experience.
To be considered for this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
Minimum of Diploma of Business (Human Resources) or Diploma of Human Resources or similar field OR at least 3 years’ experience working in a similar position
Experience working with the following HR systems will be highly regarded, but is not essential: EmpowerHR, Jemini or Big Red Sky
Strong Customer Service skills with ability to convince others to follow expected processes skills
Ability to communicate complicated issues clearly and in a way able to understood by others
Excellent computer skills including the ability to effectively use and create simple reports from HR information systems
Demonstrated initiative and capacity to think and act independently
Demonstrated positive values of integrity, reliability, teamwork and professionalism consistent with the AMES Australia Vision and Mission and demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement principles
