The Hornery Group of Companies are currently seeking an Assistant Accountant with Payroll experience to join their small finance team based in Ascot, Brisbane for an immediate start. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday from 8:30am - 5pm.

The successful applicant will report to the Group Finance Manager and will have the following attributes and responsibilities 10 years office administration, AP/AR and Payroll processing experience in a similar role. Data capturing and reporting in MYOB and Microsoft Office is essential. Professional approach to every task, with 100% attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under pressure and to multi-task. A self-motivated, positive attitude and passionate about adding value in your role. Excellent communication and time management skills. Friendly, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities include responsible for the Monthly Accounts Receivable completeness and accuracy to ensure timely payment from Customers. Preparation of quotes for the Group Commercial Manager for all new and existing Customer’s enquiries. Responsible for building a business relationship with the customer account holders to ensure all customer related enquiries for quoting and invoicing of sales entries are dealt with efficiently and professionally.

Accounts Payable data entry in MYOB for the Hornery Group of companies. Responsible for the Accounts payable monthly statement reconciliation and follow up of all discrepancies for the Hornery Group of companies. Assisting the Group Finance Manager with the completion of the month end accounting functions, including BAS, PAYG, Superannuation.

Responsible for the Payroll data entry review for accuracy and completeness of all web based timesheets. Hornery Group of Companies Payroll report review prior to processing ADP payroll. Daily bank reconciliations for the Group of Companies bank accounts. Monthly credit card reconciliations. Develop and maintain relationships with all company stakeholders including employees, customers and suppliers.
