Assistant Accountant Eclipse Recruitment Ltd location Auckland.
Our client has built a strong brand and reputation. Operating across Australasia and employing staff in branches in New Zealand and Australia they require an experienced Assistant Accountant.
Your role will be to manage the full payroll process and HR administrative tasks that accompany that process. With 200 employees based in New Zealand and Australia you will enjoy the diversity of working with different payroll legislation. In addition you will be the right hand to the Finance Manager with end of month and year reporting and management accounting tasks.
Key tasks Payroll Australia and New Zealand. Inter-company reconciliations. Prepare FBT, RWT, GST, BAS. Assist in preparation of annual accounts including Trusts. Fixed Asset Register. Bank Reconciliations. Prepare and distribute Statement NZ. We are looking for a team player who has an eye for detail and has initiative to burn! This is a busy role and requires someone who enjoys working to multiple weekly and monthly deadlines.
Key skills Senior level payroll experience. Previous experience in an Assistant Account role. Knowledge of Foreign Currency. Advanced knowledge of MYOB. Advanced Excel skills. High attention to detail. Willingness to learn different systems and take on new challenges.
