Assistant Accountant Sharp and Carter Finance and Accounting location Melbourne.

The role reconciliation of all bank accounts. Maintain record and reconcile client funding. Prepare bank reconciliation statements and managing bank balances. Undertake accounting and reconciliation of clearing accounts. Maintain standing journals. Administer direct debit of fees for residents and clients. Undertake accounting work and prepare reports for related entities.

Complete government survey in a timely manner. Support the Finance unit in the month-end closure process. Support the Finance unit in areas of general accounting, reporting and audit of specific program funds. Prepare working schedules for budget, annual accounts and audit purposes. Develop and maintain collaborative, effective and integrated working relationships with key stakeholders.

Skills and experience the ideal candidate will be tertiary qualified in an accounting or business degree and have aspirations to complete or be part way through your CPA/CA. You will have 2-3 years professional experience as well as basic knowledge of accounting standards. Exceptional communication skills, with proven ability to demonstrate initiative and have good attention to detail are essential.
