Assistant Accountant Reo Group location Sydney.

Role overview in your role you will be reporting directly into the Chief Financial Officer and will be responsible for the management of end to end duties as well as fixed asset functions within the organisation. As an upcoming Assistant Accountant, you will be involved in the following month end tasks such as posting journals, balance sheet preparation, bank reconciliations and profit and loss statements.

This Assistant Accountant will be assisting with month end reporting and full function of month end tasks. As part of your role, you will be assisting with audit preparation as part of your daily responsibilities. As a Junior Assistant Accountant, you will also be involved in the processing of accounts payable duties.

Responsibilities assisting with month-end close processes. Assist in the management of month end procedures including processing accruals, prepayments and journals. Responsible for liaising with regional based Accountants and handling queries with key stakeholders. Utilise ERP System to facilitate month end processing.

Assist in the preparation and development of monthly, quarterly and yearly management reports. Facilitate month end processing and preparation for financial documents. Daily and monthly bank reconciliations. Ensure that monthly fixed assets reporting is accurate. Liaising with internal stakeholders and managers in resolving issues in a timely manner. Accounts payable processing. Responsible for working with the Finance team with adhoc duties and administration tasks.

Candidate profile the successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in the accounting field. The successful candidate will have shown their past experience in medium to large organizations. You will have demonstrated a high attention to detail and ability to learn new systems quickly. You will have shown your strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and Vlookups.
