We are looking for a dynamic and detailed person to join our team in Pemulwuy (Greystanes) in the role of Assistant Accountant. Reporting to the Management Accountant, this newly created role will have both a financial and management accounting focus and will be charged with the task of working closely with stakeholders within the business to help enact change to processes and reporting data. We are looking for someone who excels in business partnership and has a detail and compliance focus, as well as a strong grounding in the financial accounting principles. Key responsibilities of the role include month end and year end closing processes for financial accounting, weekly, quarterly and annual cash flow forecasting, monthly provision and prepayments review and analysis, monthly calculation and processing of rebates, statutory responsibilities including bas, vat, fbt, payroll tax, workers comp and insurance renewal, end to end weekly and monthly payroll processing (au & nz), managing fixed asset register, managing sub-ledger control accounts and compliance, reconciling all balance sheet accounts, cashbook management and reconciliation, liaising with external auditors, credit card and toll/fuel card management and enquiries, manage electronic time and attendance records, team coverage & ad hoc duties as required. The successful candidate will have bachelor’s degree – desirable but not essential, 3+ years finance experience, 1+ years’ experience as an accountant, 1+ years’ experience in payroll processing, multi-national, multi-currency (nzd, gbp & aud), multi-company experience (preferred, not essential), high degree of computer literacy including advanced ms excel skills, strong attention to detail and compliance focus, energy and initiative to solve problems, if this is the job for you, we offer an attractive base salary + bonus + super.
