Fuse Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Accountant who is bilingual in Chinese and English (both verbal and written). This is a permanent role paying up to $70k + Super with an immediate start available. Our client is an industry leader in the food manufacturing and FMCG industries. Supplying Nationwide as well as internationally.

The role reporting directly to the Finance Manager you will play a key role in all facets of the company’s accounting activities including month-end and year-end financial reporting, statutory compliance, auditing and management of the accounting system. This is a Bilingual role and you must be able to speak and write in both English and Chinese.

Duties preparation of periodic, month and year end reports. Management of general ledger & bank reconciliations. Manage month end accrual/pre-payments transactions & reconciliations. Maintain fixed assets register: acquisition, disposal & depreciation. Preparation of FBT, Payroll tax, GST/ BAS.

Assist in handling internal/external audit works. Cash flow reporting and forecasting. Handling payable and receivable. Yearly budget preparation & monitoring. Carry out other accounting works as requested by supervisor. Usage of Microsoft Dynamics 365.

The candidates to be successful in obtaining this role you will have min 3-5 years’ experience in an assistant accountant role. Excellent working knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards. Advanced EXCEL skillset with the ability to create formulas, pivot tables etc. Knowledge of Dynamics 365 is advantageous. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Must be bilingual in English and Chinese. Must be able to work as part of a team as well as autonomously. Excellent time management skills and be able to work to strict deadlines. Be a strategic thinker and must have analytical awareness. Tertiary qualified. CPA qualified or working towards this.
