Who we are and what we do Perilya Limited is an Australian base and precious metals mining and exploration company which owns and operates the iconic Southern Operations and Potosi/Silver Peak zinc, lead and silver mines in Broken Hill New South Wales, and the Cerro de Maimon Copper, Gold and Silver mine in the Dominican Republic. Perilya’s exploration and development interests include projects throughout Australia and the Dominican Republic.

The opportunity based at our Corporate Head Office in the Perth CBD, This opportunity as an Assistant Accountant offers a multifaceted role in a dynamic work environment. You will engage in a variety of accounting functions, from accounts payable and banking transactions to preparing financial reports and assisting with audits and budgeting.

The role also includes responsibilities in maintaining the corporate fixed asset register, handling monthly general ledger transactions, and ensuring compliance with tax and reporting requirements. To be effective in this role you will be proficient in Chinese with the ability to communicate with colleagues in our parent company (Shenzhen Zhongjin Lingnan Nonfemet Co Ltd).

The skills and experience required for this role proven experience in accounts payable and general accounting tasks. Strong understanding of banking and reconciliation processes. Proficiency in preparing financial reports and handling petty cash. Experience in maintaining fixed asset registers.

Familiarity with month-end closure processes and general ledger management. Ability to assist with budgeting, FBT returns, and audit preparations. Knowledge of BAS, payroll tax returns, and compliance requirements. Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English for group reporting and translation tasks.
