Assistant Accountant Life Ready location Perth.

We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the Life Ready and HBF Physio Finance team based at HBF’s head office in the city. The role will be responsible for looking after the day-to-day accounting of several of our clinics, Head Office and Mobile businesses.

Life Ready and HBF Physio are part of HBF, Australia’s fifth largest private health insurance provider and the largest in WA. While HBF is well known for its Health Insurance business, it also promotes member wellbeing through its Wellness businesses – HBF Dental, HBF Physio, Life Ready and the provision of a number of health programs.

Life Ready and HBF Physio provide a range of services including remedial massage, dry needling, exercise physiology, clinical Pilates and more. Our aim is to provide a high standard of care, creating positive outcomes and providing the best experience possible.

The opportunity the Assistant Accountant will play a key role as part of the Life Ready finance team to support our Managing Partners, Executives and Management Team.

The responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to accounts payable, cash management and profit distributions. Intercompany invoicing. Payroll processing (including superannuation and healthcare cover), assisting with queries, commission calculations and employee maintenance. Bank account and Balance Sheet reconciliations.

Assistance with FBT returns. Preparation and processing payroll tax returns. Preparation and processing of Business and Instalment Activity Statements. Arranging payment approvals. Creating, assigning, and monitoring intercompany invoices, reconciliation of intercompany accounts within Life Ready and with our parent company. Assisting with special purpose financial statements for our partners and year end audit requests. Assisting with data collection for production of a number of annual reporting obligations.

To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrateminimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, able to meet tight deadlines. Good communicator, able to convey financial information in an easily accessible manner. Strong Excel skills. Experience with Xero and Anaplan desirable, but not essential.
