We are seeking an experienced and proactive Assistant Accountant to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of financial activities and administrative support across various departments within our organisation. This role isn't just about numbers— you'll have the opportunity to ensure compliance, manage critical financial processes, and collaborate closely with various departments. About the role your initial responsibilities will include conducting weekly bank reconciliations and address discrepancies. Balance Sheet Reconciliations. BAS Preparation. Managing fixed asset register. Overseeing accounts payable processes, including error correction and supplier communications Facilitating seamless asset sales & purchase transactions. Preparing comprehensive financial reports and analyses to guide strategic decision-making. Providing administrative support as needed.

About you to be considered for this role the successful applicant must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience in finance or administration, preferably in construction. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and MS Office. Organised, detail-oriented, and able to multitask effectively. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Valid working rights in Australia. References
