Assistant Accountant Hunter Campbell Limited location Auckland.

The opportunity reporting to the Financial Controller, the Assistant Accountant will sit within the transaction team to take on a project of clearing bank reconciliations and supporting the wider finance function as they go through a busy and exciting period.

As the Assistant Accountant, you will work independently and show initiative to take on new challenges. You will have a focus on clearing the backlog and taking an analytical approach to solving issues. This role will suit someone looking to advance their career and add genuine value to their accounting skillset through a project role.

About you ideally, you will have a tertiary degree in an accounting-related field & at least 2 years of accounting experience. A sound knowledge of accounting principles, software, and Excel - SAP experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and excellent time management. A self-starter mindset and a great initiative to get things done independently.
