The role calling out to an experienced Assistant Accountant to take on this exciting opportunity within the engineering industry. You will be responsible for supporting the finance department in various aspects of accounting and financial reporting within the core company and its three subsidiaries.

Your day-to-day assisting with the preparation of monthly financial statements. Performing account reconciliations and analysing discrepancies. Internal invoicing. Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes. Assisting with budget preparation and variance analysis. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the accuracy of financial data. Check subcontractor claims.

Provide extra support to management accountants and accounts payable when needed. Assisting with audits and tax filings. Contributing to process improvements within the finance department. Providing support for ad-hoc financial projects as needed.

Who you are must be CA/CPA qualified . 2+ years of relevant accounting experience. Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Understanding payroll awards. Proficient in Microsoft Excel . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
