Well-known local government service business on the lookout for an Assistant Accountant to join the business. This is an initial contract role for 6 months, with potential for extension. This role will be starting immediately.

Your day-to-day ensure allocated monthly financial reporting deliverables are completed accurately within timetable deadlines. Undertake adhoc financial analysis as directed supported by appropriate and clearly presented documentation.

Undertake periodic reviews of internal control systems to consider possibilities for improvement and to ensure compliance. Support financial operations in the bank reconciliation process and document process improvement opportunities. Present financial results to all levels of the organisation.

Who you are must be degree qualified (accounting, commerce, business, or related). 1-4 years experience in an accounting role. Strong verbal and written communicator. Enthusiastic and can-do attitude. CPA/CA part-qualified highly regarded, but not essential.
