Assistant Accountant Quay Appointments location Sydney. AUD 40 - 45 per hour.

Quay Appointments is hiring for a dynamic and growing orgainisation that hold a passion for assiting their local community, We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join there finance team as an Assistant Accountant.

Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports. Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes. Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

Handle general ledger entries and journal entries. Support the budgeting and forecasting processes. Perform various ad-hoc financial analyses and tasks as needed. Assistant with bank reconcilations.

Qualifications bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1-3 years of relevant experience in accounting. Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. CPA or pursuing CPA certification is a plus.
