Assistant Accountant FourQuarters Recruitment location Melbourne. Up to $80,000 + Superannuation.

The company our client is a multinational Retail group, headquartered in Melbourne CBD. Due to the continued growth of the company, the business are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join the expanding Finance team.

Responsibilities manage and maintain the Accounts Payable function. Monitor, review and evaluate the sales and operations cost, including variance analysis, budget and bottoms up budgeting. Ensure all internal financial controls are embedded across all financial processes. Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, prepayments and accruals, fixed assets and inter-company reconciliation.

Ownership of P&L lines, posting adjustments to ensure accuracy. Produce MI packs within agreed deadlines. Provide commentary and insights into variances to budgets and forecasts. Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

Role requirements the ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years experience in an Assistant Accountant capacity. CA/CPA Part-Qualified. Ability to work on own initiative or as a part of a team. Ability to meet deadlines. Candidates must have advanced Excel skills/analytical skills.
