Assistant Accountant CSE New Zealand Limited location Auckland.

CSE New Zealand Finance team has overall responsibility for financial management of the business. The team supports our operations by improving our financial and operational systems, assisting with planning, forecasting and reporting. The team also manages the financial compliance function.

The Assistant Accountant role reports to the Accountant and contributes to the delivery of the Finance function in conjunction with the admin team. This is a key role that contributes to the financial reporting and compliance function ensuring financial transactions and obligations are correctly reported. This role requires interactions with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Understanding of financial accounting/fixed assets functions, in particular processing capitalisations, disposals, depreciation, revaluation, SLA reconciliations and all other related accounting functions is required. This role requires financial experience and the capability to interpret information to support the operations.

Key attributes required are strong financial skills, with financial accounting and finance operations experience. AP/AR experience & Credit Control background. Competency in using financial systems and sound Excel skills. Ability to deal with a high volume of tasks under pressure.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional planning and organisational abilities. General ledger maintenance. Month end procedures. Ability to analyse complex information and present in a clear coherent form.
