They are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their professional team, working within a great team culture and enjoying a supportive and friendly team environment.

In this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties Financial and Management Reporting including reconciliations, entering invoices, daily cash balance reporting, recording settlements for projects, manage trust accounts, balance inter-company loan accounts, credit control and end of month reporting. Banking including opening bank accounts and linking new accounts and implementing systems for use of ABA files between business and Commbiz.

Payroll (MYOB single touch payroll) including preparing monthly payroll, superannuation reporting and year end reporting. Maintaining accounting systems and setting up MYOB files for new entities. Compliance including registration for ABN, GST and PAYG (if applicable) for new entities, monthly/quarterly BAS, ATO reporting as required, payroll tax reporting, audit reporting and insurance compliance.

To be successful in this role you will possess a Certificate, Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Commerce or a Business related discipline with strong knowledge of GST and MYOB. You will have the ability to make judgements without guidance, strong communication and interpersonal skills with the proven ability to liaise with clients and colleagues, have the capacity to organise and prioritise workflow to meet deadlines and have the ability to implement performance improvement processes with a strong initiative and proactive manner.
