Our client are a stable and high growth organisation who are continuing to be busy and outperform their competition. They are looking to add to their finance team with an experienced Accounts Payable or Finance Officer who would like to add to their responsibilities and growth in their career under strong leadership in this varied and fast paced role. Brisbane City centre.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, as the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for the smooth operation of the finance function primarily through the timely processing, reconciliation and investigation of Accounts Payable processing and transactions.

As well as full function accounts payable other responsibilities will include assisting with the reparation of month end journals and month end reconciliation's as required by the Financial Controller. Assistance with maintenance of the General Ledger. Assistance with monthly business activity statements (BAS) and payroll tax.

The ideal candidate will have solid working experience in accounts payable, and be willing and capable to take on other tasks. You will have a degree or diploma in accounting or finance and demonstrate a good understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.

You will have exceptional written and verbal skills and be used to working in boutique finance teams, and be a team player who is positive and keen to learn. You will be highly organised and a strong user of Excel, and MYOB and be looking for a role that is busy and challenging.
