About the role this is a role with a real difference. Not only joining NZ Police, but being part of a small, established team who attract, recruit and on-board candidates into Arms, Safety and Control related positions around the country.

This is real end to end recruitment, where you'll be working with applicants and internal stakeholders to provide both with a service centric experience, placing people and their positive experience as the cornerstone to all you do.

As a Recruitment Advisor, it is expected that you will have already gained skills within the recruitment sector, either as a recruiter, or within a recruitment support position, and are ready for the right opportunity to step up to the next career level.

Having sound task and time management skills, you will work across a variety of position types such as administration, vetting, supervisory and leadership, all connected to Arms, Safety and Control. Coordinating interview panels, references, vetting and a variety of pre-employment steps, you will be trained and supported as you learn our unique process framework.

Indicative accountabilities of this position will include the hands-on end to end recruitment of a variety of positions. The optimisation of the applicant, and stakeholder experience through proactive communication and robust feedback.

Proactively building relationships with hiring managers and a broad range of internal stakeholders. Utilising Mana uplifting techniques when navigating, sometimes challenging conversations with applicants and stakeholders.

Whilst we are looking for skills, knowledge, and experience relevant to this role, we also place high importance on your state of mind, the alignment of your values with ours. We are also looking for experience in recruitment, either as a recruitment consultant or a recruitment assistant.

Good understanding of recruitment and the end-to-end processes involved. High levels of initiative and the confidence to solve problems and make decisions in real time. A great eye for detail and sound computing skills.

The proven ability to build rapport with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and culture. This role is set at Individual Contributor level, this means your key purpose is "to deliver or enable others to deliver Our Business".
