Role profile as the Accounts and Payroll Officer, you will collaborate closely with the Senior Accountant, Payroll, to oversee day-to-day payroll operations. Your responsibilities will include managing payroll processes, liaising with external providers, and supporting the Manager Corporate Accounting with accounts payable tasks.
Key Tasks and responsibilities coordinate fortnightly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Facilitate new employee onboarding onto the payroll system. Manage paperwork for changes in employee details and terminations. Process salary sacrifice arrangements and maintain leave systems.
Monthly, Quarterly & Annual tasks conduct calculations for salary, superannuation, and leave provisions. Prepare and administer quarterly Board travel allowances. Assist with reconciliations and reporting obligations.
Other Payroll Related tasks support in payroll-related surveys and inquiries. Contribute to budget estimate updates. Address ad hoc queries from internal stakeholders. Accounts payable input invoices accurately, including GL coding and cost allocation. Assist in payment processing and vendor query resolution.
Skills and competencies bachelor's degree in business or accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel). Proficiency within Workday highly desirable, however, other cloud ERP experience will be considered. Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills, specifically managing relationships with outsourced payroll provider for fortnightly payrolling processes. Previous experience in payroll and accounts payable roles. Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multitask. Effective communication skills across all organisational levels.
