Applications and Helpdesk Officer St Francis Xavier College location Melbourne, Bayside and South Eastern Suburbs. St Francis Xavier College is a Catholic College with a 2019 enrolment of over 3200 students which will continue to grow in 2020. The College serves families from the parishes of Berwick, Koo Wee Rup, Maryknoll/Iona, Narre Warren and Pakenham under the governance of Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Limited (DOSCEL). We are seeking motivated and suitably experienced Applications & Helpdesk Officers to join our college on a fixed term contract until October 2020. The Applications & Helpdesk Officer will work closely with the Learning Resource Centre and ICT Teams to provide support services to both staff and students.  More specifically you will be responsible for provide level 1 application and software support to staff and students, assist staff and students to optimally utilise ict software and hardware in line with college strategy, provide level 1 support for all ict / dlp/ software application enquires, resolve or escalate enquires and report to appropriate support (ict/ application support/ e learning), helpdesk ict issues co-ordination with campus ict support staff, direct all helpdesk requests to the relevant technician and determine urgency, basic administration of applications (eg. office 365 / simon / active directory), administration of the student dlp program (warranty and insurance process), assist with maintenance and av department requests, assist with maintenance and development of ict process documentation, monitor the effectiveness of staff and student usage of software and applications, provide feedback to line manager, aimed at improving it utilisation and staff / student experience, support ict department in projects, administration and duties as required. To excel in this position you will have the following skills, experience and attributes excellent communication skills, to provide training and support to staff and students at a variety of levels and technical abilities, confidence and skill in working positively with staff and students, ability to adapt to changes, experience in testing software and documenting processes, excellent time management skills with the ability to demonstrate initiative, relevant it qualifications, solid understanding of computer software and hardware, broad knowledge of microsoft programs, commitment to excellence in customer service, ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team, ability to analyse and problem solve, commitment to occupational health and safety, an understanding of and commitment to catholic education, the successful incumbent may be required to travel between our 3 campuses and must hold a current drivers licence with access to a motor vehicle. Staff are employed under the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2018. This fixed term full time role is a Category A, Education Support Employee Level 2. With a starting salary of $60,680 gross per annum. The St Francis Xavier College community is committed to the safety, wellbeing, protection and inclusion of all children in our care.
