Animal Shelter Rehoming Administration Officer Sutherland Shire Council location Sydney.
Things We’ll Trust You with the Animal Shelter Operations Unit reunites companion animals to their owners as well as finding companion animals their new ‘fur-ever’ homes. Your work will help to provide animals with a caring, stimulating and hygienic environment to enhance their wellbeing whilst at the shelter. Support and educate our community - Providing exceptional customer service. Apply your office administration experience to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and legislation.
Things You’ll do utilise your strong administrative skills to support Animal Shelter Facility Operations including maintaining accurate current records for animals to include health, wellbeing, and behavioural information where possible.
Bring your amazing communication skills to be the first point of contact for any telephone enquiries from the public for information relevant to the activities of the Animal Shelter. Be a team-player - Share your knowledge of and skills in website and social media to promote the work that we do at the Animal Shelter and the rehoming of animals. Build strong relationships with animal welfare and rescue agencies.

Hours of work Temporary full time working 35 hours per week with the option of 19 day month. Work hours span 6:00am to 6:00pm across 5 days (Monday to Friday) to support the operational needs of the Animal Shelter. Position is available for a fixed period of up to two years.
To meet Council's WHS requirements and in accordance with Council's Covid-19 Safety Plans, this position has been identified via risk assessment to be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or provide evidence of an approved medical contraindication, you will be required to produce evidence as part of the application process.
