Job summary we are searching for a part-time Animal Caregiver (approx 20hrs a week). You will be part of a team taking care of our customers’ precious dogs in our busy Doggie Daycare and Pet Hotel.

Pets In The City are searching for an enthusiastic, experienced Animal Caregiver to join our Mt Wellington Pet Hotel and Doggie Daycare team. You must love animals and be passionate about taking care of our customers’ precious pets.

Pets In The City is an exclusive Pet Hotel and Doggie Daycare facility dedicated to offering the very best care and facilities to our customers’ beloved dogs.  Pets In The City is a unique concept in the pet care industry, offering a variety of services including indoor doggie daycare and luxury dog hotel facilities, grooming, dog training and pet focused retail.  We are open to care for our customer’s furry friends 7 days a week including public holidays (Christmas and New Years holidays).

You will be working as part of a team responsible for the day to day care of our day care and hotel guests (dogs). Key responsibilities include ensuring all our guests are entertained, happy, safe and healthy at all times; that their play parks and dog apartments are spotlessly clean and that every one of our “furry” guests leave Pets In The City having had a wonderful experience.

You will be required to work on a rotating roster across any 7 days in the week, including evenings and weekends, public and school holidays as required. Previous experience in a similar working environment or veterinarian clinic is essential as is a relevant animal care qualification.  You will be required to demonstrate your animal handling skills and show that you possess common sense and initiative in the animal care environment. In addition you must be able to follow instructions, work as a team and most importantly - love working with animals.
