Animal Attendant Bradgate Park location Blue Mountains and Central West.

We are seeking to employ a carer who is passionate about animals of all varieties who can assist with the care of animals at a privately owned property located in Orange, NSW on a full time basis. The successful applicant will be working with a variety of animals including dogs of all sizes, cats, birds and goats and must be confident and energetic. In addition the role will include the care of several horses and therefore horse handling skills are desirable, but there will be no requirement to ride.

General tasks will include feeding animals bathing and grooming animals, cleaning animal waste, cleaning yards and enclosures, exercising animals, administering medications. The successful applicant will be required to work alternate weekends on a job share rotation and must be available to work alternate public holidays.

Essentials strong knowledge of animal behavior, confidence with animals large and small, reliability is essential, excellent hygiene, fit and healthy – there is a considerable amount of walking required in this position, excellent observation skills & attention to detail, previous training or experience in animal care would be desirable, drivers license with good driving record and own transport, must love animals, An above award salary will be offered.
