Animal Attendant SmallPaws Pet Hotel location Sydney. Salary $54,000 - $64,000.

Smallpaws Pet Hotel are looking for an experienced Animal Attendant for an immediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per week based in Duffys Forest, NSW 2084.

The Animal Attendant will be responsible for the following duties ensuring a high standard of animal housing is maintained at all times, clean and disinfect accommodation daily, prepare and clean bedding, clean and prepare exercise yards. Prepare, transport, and feed/water animals according to their individual needs.

Provide animals with exercise and enrichment daily. Monitor animal's health and administer medication and/or treat minor injuries and seek veterinarian's treatment if necessary. Assist in office, maintain animal records, answer phones, conduct tours of the facility, prepare animal reports and identification cards. Assist in dog training sessions. Ensure behavioral issues are addressed with the owner and training followed up if necessary.

Maintain owners routine with animals to minimise disruption eg; commands etc. Administer flea, tick, worm prevention to animals. Animal grooming. Attend staff meetings as required.

For this position it is expected that you would possess the following have at least 3 years of work experience as an animal attendant, live on northern beaches, have own transport, Have good English, have previous dog grooming experience and basic dog obedience skills, have a good understanding of basic dog and cat health, have basic office skills, be mature minded, be available to work weekends and school holidays.
