Animal and Customer Care Consultant RSPCA New South Wales location Gosford and Central Coast.
As Australia's pre-eminent animal welfare organisation, the RSPCA provides a strong voice for animals experiencing cruelty and neglect. Our Care Centre at Tuggerah is a shelter outreach facility that includes an adoption centre, retail products, pet advisory service and community education and events.
We currently have a part-time opportunity for an Animal and Customer Care Attendant. This role provides high quality advice and guidance to customers, volunteers and other staff regarding RSPCA related matters and animal care duties for adoption animals. Tuggerah Care Centre operates on a 7 day roster (8am-6pm with late opening Thursday to 7.30pm)
Responsibilities also include provide high quality service to customers, members of the public, and other staff in relation to adoption animals and animal welfare questions. Provide high quality animal care duties such as cleaning enclosures, medicating, feeding, exercising and assessing animals.
Provide high quality product and animal care advice to members of the public, volunteers and other staff. Management of daily banking. Management of daily stock control. Provide and ensure appropriate record processing and storage for customers and animals in care accordance with legislation, RSPCA policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience TAFE qualifications in a relevant area – Certificate III in Animal Care and Wellbeing (ideal). Exceptional customer service experience ideally gained in a retail environment. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills. Well-developed computer skills including Microsoft Office, MYOB, Sheltermate and cornerstone. Demonstrated knowledge of the RSPCA and its role and functions, Team player.
