About the role:
Origin is currently recruiting for several roles that will be integral in embedding a simpler, more efficient more strategic procurement operating model at Origin.
The Analyst - Commercial is an important operational role within the Origin Procurement team, responsible for generating commercial insights from internal and external data sources to inform procurement decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver routine and ad hoc commercial and financial reports to meet business needs.
Analyse procurement, financial, and operational data to identify key trends, risks, and opportunities.
Provide data-driven recommendations to business stakeholders to address commercial challenges.
Offer analytical support for contract reviews, negotiations, market benchmarking and category planning activities.
Monitor key performance indicators and commercial metrics to ensure alignment with business objectives.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand commercial challenges and provide data-driven recommendatio
Identify and support the simplification and automation of reporting processes and analytical tools.
Proactively comply with all relevant HSE legislation and support a safe, respectful work environment.
What will you bring?
You will role model Origin’s values, be self-driven, with ability to be proactive and take initiative. A team player with ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of people across levels, building positive, productive working relationships.
Proven experience in a commercial, financial, or analytical role.
Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting processes.
A degree in Commerce, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
Desirable experience with ERP systems (like SAP) and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
Excellent written and verbal communication, able to present complex insights to diverse audiences.
Strong attention to detail, capable of managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships and a proactive mindset for process improvement.
