Our role as an Advisor Wellbeing Support, you will be the trusted advisor providing practical leadership, expertise, and advice across our customer-facing teams, to enable them to better support our customers and their whānau to live with dignity, stability and the greatest possible degree of independence.

You'll have an in-depth understanding and solid relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including local agencies, support service providers, hapū, iwi, community representatives and the broader community, and you'll leverage these networks to navigate our customer-facing teams to the support providers and agencies that their customers need.

What you will bringyou'll have specialist knowledge, skill and behaviour working with customers who may have complex wellbeing needs, coupled with a sound understanding of the social services environment and the complexity of pressures that can impact on our people

Your networking skills will be your strength, as you develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external agencies, support service providers and the broader community. Your cultural awareness and competency will ensure you interact with customers in an inclusive and respectful way that is aligned to their aspirations and preferences.

You will also be adept at coaching colleagues to build their understanding and skills to support customer wellbeing, including mentoring them to connect with the appropriate support services for emerging complex wellbeing needs.

You'll be a natural relationship-builder, with strong empathetic skills to connect and relate to customers from all backgrounds and walks of life. As this role requires travelling across the Southern region, you will have a current NZ driver's license (pool vehicle provided).
