Advisor Placement Kainga Ora location Auckland. $104,859 + 5 weeks' annual leave (pro rata).

Our role in this role you'll be our customers' first point of contact with Kāinga Ora, supporting whānau who are transferring homes to help ensure the right house and supports are put in place for our customer and their family. Key to your success will be your ability to quickly and comprehensively assess and understand our customers' housing and support needs, utilising your array of observational skills and motivational and investigative interviewing techniques. You will also build and leverage relationships with key agencies and local providers to ensure we offer our customers the right placement opportunity for them, and that they continue to receive the support they need.

What you will bring you'll have specialist knowledge, skill and behaviour working with customers who may have complex wellbeing needs. Experience in health or social services is essential. You'll be a natural relationship-builder, relating to customers from all backgrounds and walks of life, with advanced networking skills to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with external agencies and support providers. Your cultural awareness and competency will ensure you interact with customers in an inclusive and respectful way that is aligned to their aspirations and preferences.

You'll have strong observational and practical analytical skills to make sense of complex, sometimes contradictory customer needs, to effectively problem solve with whānau and individuals to identify the best available property. You'll be adept at managing customer expectations, negotiating trade-offs and maintaining customer confidence in outcomes and next steps. As this role requires travelling across the immediate region, you will have a current NZ driver's license (vehicle provided).
