Based in Ponsonby, our client is a leading bespoke travel specialist for New Zealand, and the South Pacific. With more than 35 years’ experience they provide their customers with unique luxury travel experiences.

The role they are seeking to appoint a very tech savvy administrator to join their dynamic, high performing team, and support their Travel Designers in all aspects of finalizing tailor-made travel experiences, for their high-end clients. From dreamy destinations, the most decadent luxury lodges, to discreet private villas in the most spectacular locations, they create the most amazing holiday packages.

A true luxury holiday experience. Their discerning clients are used to receiving high levels of service and it will be your job to assist the team to ensure that they are looked after and the delivery of their holiday experience is first rate. You will provide full administrative support to the team, in terms of creating itineraries, finalising travel arrangements, email correspondence, and fulfilling a wide range of administration support tasks.

You will be responsible for supporting a team of travel designers with all their administration requirements. Assist with overall management of workflow. Work cohesively with the team to ensure each itinerary is on spec and delivered to the client on time.

Become a central point of contact for all requirements around office/stationary needs. Quoting and assisting in producing itineraries. Email correspondence and other general administration. Ideally it would be someone who has worked in the travel industry previously, but a particularly good administrator, with experience in the areas below would be able to learn the rest.

You methodical working style. Able to manage a varied workload where multi-tasking is essential. Customer focused, with a professional written communication style. Very competent PC and systems ability.  With at least intermediate MS Office, Word, Excel, and Access. Process and systems driven. Efficient and effective.

A good geographical knowledge of New Zealand would help. Must be organised. Good time management. Has a sense of urgency. Employees tend to stay for years (which is a good sign right), so  we are looking or those who are keen ot settle into a long term role. Attention to detail. Strong accuracy and good proof-reading skills. Knowledge of Tourwriter software is a bonus. (But you can learn this).
