Administrator Department of Corrections location Wellington. The midpoint of the salary range is $60,007.

Bail Support Services is an opt-in service that can be accessed in courts, prisons, and the community when individuals apply for bail or EM Bail. Bail Support Services aims to provide judges with relevant information required for them make timely and informed decisions on bail applications. Bail Support Officers work with defendants, their whānau, and their legal counsel to strengthen bail applications and identify any unmet social needs.

If bail or EM bail is granted, Bail Support Officers and Iwi partners and providers offer support in the community by connecting people with the programmes, services and support they need - this could include counselling to address underlying issues to help them stay free of crime on bail, or support accessing Work and Income. Bail Support Officers also help individuals understand the conditions of their bail.

About the role bail Support Services continues to evolve throughout Aotearoa where we are supported by the Bail Support Services programme to develop and partner with Iwi.  This is an exciting space to be working in and a chance to use your administrative skills to make a real difference for your community.

As the Administrator you will be a critical part of the leadership team providing administrative support which will facilitate the effective and efficient operational delivery of Bail Support Services. You will be working as a cohesive team member, communicating with leaders and frontline Bail Support kaimahi to understand their administrative needs as well as variety of internal and external stakeholders. Supporting the leadership team also entails organising travel and accommodation bookings, venues and catering as required, as well as arranging and managing meetings, agendas and minute taking.

You will be able to maintain clear, accurate and up to date records and have an eye for detail. You will be following processes and checklists to ensure efficiency and consistency of service delivery in the Bail Support space.

Strong knowledge of administrative processes, systems and technology. Intermediate and demonstrated competence in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint and Excel.

Functional knowledge and use of Department applications such as SAP and associated systems. Proactive approach with a can-do attitude. Good problem-solving skills and creative thinking. Ability to analyse data and to draw conclusions.

Salary the midpoint of the salary range is $60,007 and the full range (85%-120%) is $51,006 - $72,008. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
