Administrator and Events Retail NZ location Wellington.

Retail NZ is a member-based organization providing business updates, advice, advocacy, and insights to retailers across Aotearoa. We have a current vacancy for an extraordinary administrator who can make things happen for Retail NZ.

What will you be doing no two days will be the same, this role includes office administration, managing projects, events and logistics to support our members and the wider Retail NZ team to ensure we continue to deliver quality support, advice and events for our members and support the wider team.

Specifics include Office administration, including point of contact for IT, induction, stationery, catering, Health and Safety, emergency preparedness, staff meetings, travel bookings etc. Project management of all events including in-person, webinars and digital events, encompassing all logistics and co-ordination with members, internal and external stakeholders.

Co-ordinate and manage the Retail: Unplugged podcast series. Manage projects, including but not limited to, current priority of Retail as a Career which includes relationships with researchers, advertising agency, steering group, members and Ringa Hora. Provide back up for outbound calling to members as required. General administrative tasks and support to the CEO.

The ideal candidate is someone who has an enquiring mind to seek out opportunities that help Retail NZ deliver on its vision and purpose. Is a self-starter with 3 - 5 years’ experience in administration, managing logistics and events.

Strong plain English writing skills and a high degree of literacy, with experience in quickly and accurately distilling complex information into straightforward messages. Attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to identify issues and troubleshoot them. A natural networker who can easily establish a good rapport with people from a variety of cultural and business backgrounds.

Experience in co-ordinating and managing the logistics for events, both virtual and inperson. Positively contributes to the culture at Retail NZ. Strong IT and computer literate skills, including Microsoft Office products, CRM (experience with Salesforce is desirable), video conferencing and podcasts.
