About us the Faculty of Health offers innovative, practice-based education and high impact research that focuses on improving health outcomes in local and global communities. Centre for Improving Palliative, Aged and Chronic Care through Clinical Research and Translation (IMPACCT) encompasses a transdisciplinary research program dedicated to improving the care, outcomes and quality of life of people affected by a range of chronic conditions or who have palliative care needs. IMPACCT operates primarily from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS) City Campus in Sydney, NSW. The Faculty of Health is currently recruiting for an Administrative Support Officer to join the IMPACCT team on a part-time basis for 10 months.

About the role the Administrative Support role reports to the Director IMPACCT and will work under the direction of both the Director, IMPACCT and National Manager - ITCC/CST/PaCCSC. They will assist in the coordination of a range of clinical research related administrative functions and tasks.

The position works with the Director IMPACCT, National Manager - ITCC/CST/PaCCSC, and external investigators to assist with project co-ordination and undertake relevant high level administrative related activities for projects - both external and internal. The position requires a high level of administrative know-how, an understanding of a wide range of administrative transactions and use of software systems to support IMPACCT with meeting and managing their research projects.

The role involves liaising and communication within FOH and IMPACCT staff; and to a significant number of stakeholders/sites, partners, and collaborators across various programs of research. Attention to detail, good records management and exemplary confidentiality are required for this role.

With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following five (5) key selection criteria points well-developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to produce clear, succinct reports and documents. Ability to analyse and solve problems.

Ability to work in a team environment and independently to ensure workload is planned appropriately and meets agreed timelines. Working understanding of university administrative processes and systems. Understanding of administrative processes including contract management, project management, financial management, stakeholder management.

Remuneration base Salary Range: $85,781 to $92,879 pa (HEW 6). This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. This position is part-time (0.6 FTE/3 days per week/21 hours per week) and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis for 10 months.
