What is the role this role assists in the day-to-day management of the SHIELD Health Hubs and works at the direction of the SHIELD Hub Leader. The role undertakes administrative duties to support Australian Federal Police (AFP) members and clinicians and works closely with the Hub Leader, and clinicians, to provide high level member health and wellbeing services. The successful applicant will have excellent communication and scheduling skills, a strong focus on member care is essential.
What will you do role Description & responsibilities ability to build rapport with members and clinicians. Serving members by triaging service requests and maintaining records. Answer member questions or refer enquiries as required.
Ensuring availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving member records, updating databases and maintaining electronic/paper files. Provide administrative support to SHIELD Hub service delivery activities such as health assessments, change of health notifications and health promotion events.
Maintaining business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, verifying receipt of supplies, and scheduling equipment service and repairs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical and personal information. Maintaining operations by following AFP and Government policies and procedures. Working closely with SHIELD Hub Leader/s and clinicians to partner with Command on health and wellbeing initiatives.
Produce high quality internal and external correspondence and secretariat services for multidisciplinary team meetings. Undertake project, research and administrative work (as required) to support AFP business. Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate policies, processes and systems to assist in SHIELD service delivery.
Essential requirements you must be an Australian Citizen at the time of application. NV1 security clearance, or ability to obtain one.
Desirable requirements experience using Microsoft Office. Health and safety knowledge, experience and/or background. Ability to multi-task. Excellent customer service (telephone and face to face). Superior time management, scheduling and organisation skills. High level attention to detail. Ability to use relevant software and records systems.
Additional information this position is an AFP Band Level 5. These roles are located in Brisbane and Perth and applicants are expected to be based in these regions. Proof of a minimum of two COVID-19 vaccinations (or one dose if the Janssen vaccine was used) will be required if an offer of employment is made.
