Why your role matters the Administrative Assistant plays a critical role within the Pro Vice-Chancellor, Education and Student Experience portfolio, Wellbeing pillar, UNSW Psychology & Wellness theme, in the provision of efficient and effective reception and general administrative assistance to support the delivery of an excellent experience for all students of the service.
Who you are we are seeking an Administrative Assistant to be the approachable face of UNSW Psychology & Wellness. Our ideal candidate will be able to liaise with a diverse range of students, bringing proficient computer literacy and innate professionalism which ensures sound decision making and seamless reception operations.
Completion of a Diploma or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through a combination of education, training and/or experience. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver high quality administration and support while exercising sound judgement to resolve matters. Sound organisational skills including ability to prioritise tasks and duties to meet deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to provide effective customer service and support to clients at all levels. Advanced interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a team, preferably within a customer service environment. Proficient level of computer literacy with advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications.
Demonstrated ability in the use and administration of online systems and databases. An understanding of and commitment to UNSW’s aims, objectives and values in action, together with relevant policies and guidelines. Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
