The division the Regional and Outer Metropolitan division is focused on understanding the particular needs of regional communities across NSW and delivering customer-centred integrated transport services and infrastructure.

The opportunity we have an exciting Permanent Full Time opportunity for an Administration Assistant to join the Finance and Commercial branch within the Regional and Outer Metropolitan division. This role supports flexible working and will provide high-level, efficient administrative and clerical support contributing towards the effective operation of the branch.

What you will be involved in the successful candidate will provide a range of administrative and clerical support services to meet operational requirements and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the branch.  Additionally, this role will be accountable for but not limited to coordinating the maintenance of diaries for senior management and the arrangement of meetings and training and travel requirements to support operational efficiency.

Administering procurement activities, including raising purchase order requests for goods and services and reconciling and processing invoices for payment to meet operating needs and to comply with regulatory and legislative requirements. Distributing circulars and all correspondence, including incoming mail to keep managers and staff informed and enable them to respond to necessary matters within required timeframes. Creating and maintaining files and documents in compliance with records management procedures to ensure best practice in enabling information to be efficiently tracked, stored and retrieved.

The successful candidate will be business savvy and have demonstrated experience in an administrative support role (particularly diary management) with strong proficiency using Microsoft Office package and Transport Systems. Possessing strong written and verbal communication, you will be able to build rapport easily be highly motivated, reliable and extremely organised. A self-starter and effective communicator with a can-do attitude, you will have the ability to work independently and contribute effectively in a collaborative team environment whilst maintaining a high level of work ethic.
