About the company Vertu Equipment Ltd is the newly appointed New Zealand exclusive dealer for SANY Global excavators, rollers and wheel loaders. We stand behind SANY, China’s number one excavator manufacturer, providing a range of excavators and heavy machineries with best quality and services to New Zealand. With significant growth forecasted, we are looking for a full-time Administration Officer / Accounts Clerk to be based at our head office in Ellerslie.

The role we require a Administration Officer / Accounts Clerk to assist with the day to day operations and compliance of the business. We require someone who will actively engage with the company’s day to day business activities while providing effective and efficient administration support to all staff members, as well as general accounting/bookkeeping duties to the company.

Key functions of the role will include answering internal & external calls, and queries. Daily maintenance and data entry. All aspects of the accounting functionality from Xero system set up, invoice, purchase bill, inventory, payroll, to transaction review & reconciliation, right through to board reporting. Providing general ad-hoc administration as required.

Skill and experience required accounting degree and at least 12 months’ relevant work experience. Ability to work collaboratively with the team. Excellent interpersonal skills and have a positive attitude. Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office. Prior experience with Xero is a bonus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a good command of English language is a must. Importantly, motivation to succeed and a willingness to ‘get stuck in’ to get the job done. Must have a valid NZ Work Visa
