About This opportunity within the UQ Research and Innovation portfolio, the Research Office provides administrative and strategic support in the key functional areas of research grants administration. Reporting to the Research Office Senior Manager, this role is offered for a 12 month period where you will provide support regarding the administrative activities of the Research Office. You will work closely with the team to process grant applications, ensuring they comply with guidelines and providing administrative advice on submitted and successful grants. You will be responsible for data entry and webpage management and other duties as required.

This position is located at our picturesque St Lucia campus, renowned as one of Australia’s most attractive university campuses, and located just 7km from Brisbane’s city centre. Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar/relevant role and/or a relevant degree. Those with an advanced diploma with one year of relevant work experience or a diploma qualification and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training will be very highly regarded.

To be successful in the role you will have high level computer skills and a practical understanding of administrative computer applications, word processing, data storage and retrieval and spreadsheets, as well as well-developed analytical skills. You will have high level written communication and interpersonal skills as well as excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
