This is an exciting time for the organisation as we drastically increase our scope and enter a period of dynamic growth. Administration Officer – Auslan in the Home. Parramatta office (including work/travel to other locations as required).

About the Education Team The Education Service team provides accredited courses and non-accredited classes to people interested in learning Auslan at a conversational level and qualifications for those who may go on to become certified Auslan/English interpreters. The Education Team provides a range of services including Auslan classes, Deafness awareness training and learning Auslan in the Home. Our team culture is fun, hardworking and embraces diversity with a focus on delivering high quality outcomes and services for our students.

The role the Education Services Team currently has a vacancy for an Administration Officer located at the Parramatta (Sydney) office. This is permanent full time role to join the administration team for our Auslan in the Home services.

This role would suit a highly organised person who has proven administration experience. The role is the point of contact for supporting families with enrolment to language programmes and managing queries. Managing logistical components for programmes is an essential component of this role. This role is also responsible for day-to-day administration and reporting. The role would suit someone with a strong background in administration, customer services and procedures to assist the Education Service in delivering high quality programmes to customers and families. An ability to use Auslan and communicate with staff in Auslan will be highly regarded.

Selection criteria demonstrated ability to perform administrative tasks. Skills with Microsoft Applications Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet). Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to adopt a flexible approach to work tasks and preparedness to implement changes as the need and opportunity arise. Collaboration in a team environment. Experience and knowledge of using a Student Management System i.e Axcelerate and Moodle with particular knowledge of Workflow processes. Willingness to learn Auslan.

Desirable knowledge of various community cultures, Auslan skills.
